He learned all about strangers and what to do in case he was to come across a stranger; stop, yell, and run as far away as possible. Mom was happy for Jaime and was applauding his achievement. He went outside with his mother to play soccer while she cleaned. When he accidentally kicked his ball over the fence, he went in through a crack to get it. He was greeted by a man who was holding his ball but he wasn't expecting anyone to be back there since no one had lived in it for a while. soon after speaking to him, he realized that he was speaking to a stranger and yelled and ran home, locking the door behind him. His mother comforted him. Then when the "stranger" came to the door, mother explains to Jaime that he is a stranger to him, but that she has known him for quite a while and that he is indeed a Super Safety Expert as they reviewed over all of the things he had done right. Personal Reflection: Cute way of introducing Stranger Danger. I enjoed how the book explains what a stranger is, what to do, and how it also explains the case of a stranger to you, but not to me concept, leading a child to a change in perspective to approved strangers. Extension Ideas: Read during school year to remind kids of who strangers are and what to do in case of running into a stranger. Discuss scenarios or places they go in which running into a stranger is possible. Never Ever Talk to Strangers could be read to children ages 2 to 6. In the book, Jamie had received a shiny badge from school, The Super Safety Expert badge. He explained that strangers are people that you do not know and if a stranger talks to you, you should yell and run away. Later that afternoon, Jamie was kicking his soccer ball and it landed over the fence. When he went to get it, a man tried to hand it to him. He ran away because he was a stranger. The man brought it to his mom, The man ended up being her friend. She told Jamie he did a good job not talking to a stranger. This book teaches children a good lesson. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
