While we cannot see or touch God, He can be experienced by his attributes—breath, light, word, silence, tears, joy, promise, covenant, mystery, justice, mercy plus many more. The book ends with "God is with us...this God is the one we call 'Our Father.' He is with us every day, until the day we will be with him." Thought provoking as well as imaginative, this picture book should be an excellent jumping off point to discuss God with children. Illustrator, Barbara Nascimbeni uses bright, colorful, simplistic drawings to convey the author's concepts; although the illustrations are the weakest element of the book. Rating: 3 —BS ( )

The illustrations in this book are gorgeous! I highly recommend it for children and adults alike! It is a book that helps us understand God with all his wonderful attributes. I want to get the whole series (Psalms, The Bible, and Animals of the Bible for Young Children). I highly recommend this book! It would a great gift for kids! ( )

Beautiful pictures, poems that try to bring understanding about such a huge concept as God. The pictures are lush and I enjoyed looking and reading through the book. I plan on using in my Sunday School class.
