An engaging first-person voice, beautiful writing, and fabulous characters made this one a real winner for me. I loved the way the author incorporated the holiday season into the plot, as opposed to just using it as a backdrop. Great, great book. (A ) ( ) Sweet, but not one of her better shorts. It also lost points for having one of the types of characters I absolutely cannot stand in a story: the interferer, in this case Owen's scheming mother. Why parents, especially mothers, seem to think they have a right to interfere in the lives of their adult children in these types of stories is beyond me. As for the rest of the cast? I like the dog best. He knew when not to get in the way. This is a lovely short Christmas story about finding love again after it being lost for almost 15 years. Owen has never quite gotten over Caleb's leaving without any warning when they were teenagers. And when he meets him again during a Christmas celebration with his family he's not sure he's ready to have his heart broken again. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

Owen McKenzie has traveled to Vermont to spend an old-fashioned Christmas with his family when he finds himself staying at the same inn as his first love. Owen is disconcerted to realize he's still attracted to Caleb Black but refuses to pursue him. Caleb left him once, and Owen's not going down that road again. Caleb is ready for a second chance with Owen and gets it when fate and the matchmaking McKenzies conspire to strand the two men in a rustic cabin during a snowstorm on Christmas Eve. Can Caleb convince Owen to rekindle their romance so they can stop spending their holidays apart? 24,000 words Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
