As you can surmise from the title, he was already dying as this was published. The collection is okay, the limericks are middling-good, and there are plenty of dirty jokes as I recall. Nothing exceptional here, though. Get it from the library. ( ) Asimov Laughs Again is a collection of jokes that is supposed to be a follow-up to Asimov's Treasury of Humor. Frankly, I didn't enjoy it anywhere near as much as the latter. There are entirely too many personal anecdotes in it which are either (1) not funny (and in many cases not intended to be), (2) recounted in at least one other of Asimov's books (usually his memoir) or both. There are also a number of jokes which are obviously borrowed from elsewhere (such as the “bird imitations” joke, which I remember in slightly different form from an episode of MASH), and worst of all, I've recognized several jokes as having already been in the Treasury. (There are also limericks which are from his seperate limerick books, but this is forgivable considering the fact that they are no longer in print and never sold well to begin with.) I would recommend only diehard Asimov fans get this book. Others would do better to find a copy of the Treasury. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
