I'm rating this book as amazing not because it has any deep insights, trust me, it couldn't if it tried. But because it is absolutely hilarious. I laughed for extended periods multiple times while reading this. Some of the pranks she pulls are just too out there, but it's nice to know that she cares about her friends and family enough to inject that amount of humor into their lives. They may not always appreciate it at the time (I'm sure I wouldn't either) but it's nice to have that sort of thing to laugh about later. In addition to the jokes, the tone that it's written in is great. There were so many different perspectives but they all described Chelsea Handler in a funny, sarcastic way rather than the overdone cheesy, "Oh, Chelsea is so wonderful" kind of way. I probably wouldn't start watching her show, but I do like her writing and reading about all the jokes she plays on people. She could probably just have a book of pranks, without her friends additional insights about her, and I would read it. sem crÃticas | adicionar uma crÃtica

HTML: "My tendency to make up stories and lie compulsively for the sake of my own amusement takes up a good portion of my day and provides me with a peace of mind not easily attainable in this economic climate."â??Chelsea Handler, from Chapter ten of Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang It's no lie: Chelsea Handler loves to smoke out "dumbassness," the condition people suffer from that allows them to fall prey to her brand of complete and utter nonsense. Friends, family, coworkersâ??they've all been tricked by Chelsea into believing stories of total foolishness and into behaving like total fools. Luckily, they've lived to tell the tales and, for the very first time, write about them Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

The Story:
I was quite shocked that there was a Chelsea Handler book I hadn’t read. I’m quite the fan of her written work. After listening to just over half of this book I understand why.
This book is mostly not written by Chelsea. She does an intro and a snappy reaction at the end of each chapter but that’s about it. It is stories from her co-workers, friends and family that quite frankly make Chelsea seem mean. Everyone exalts her virtues and boobs at some point in her story but 3 hours of it was more than enough for me.
