This story offers an emotional ride through the heartbreaking and satisfying events and relationships of a young wife and mother. Though the heartbreaking parts would flatten most people, the revelations and surprises bring vicarious joy and insight into humanity and a deep perspective on life.
A recommended read for book clubs. (

Perfectly adequate story line, but I never felt as if I knew these characters or really cared about them. Even Sophie somehow missed having depth. (

This book was wonderful. So true to life, with pain, beauty and hope. I can't wait to read the rest of the series! (

Columnist Sophie Duncan had the perfect life of being married to a wonderful man and a beautiful daughter until one day her life changes. Her daughter Megan is diagnosed with myeloid leukemia, her husband confesses he is having an affair with a woman he is working with and she is pregnant. To top it off Sophie gets into an automobile accident. This wonderfully written story of Sophie's life was tragic but she makes it through the tough times and how she begins life again. I really enjoyed reading this great contemporary romance fiction novel.
