Van Roosmalen did very important research and conservation work in the Rainforests and the ruins of the rainforests. He even discovered new species and subspecies of monkeys but came clashed with the local government and with the establishment in national research and international conservationists. He even was sentenced to prison. So it is understandable but not very wise to write this book in a kind of self congratulating way if he wants to return to 'his' forest.
The book should be translated in Portugues and English at least. It let you really think about the international business and almost maffioso tactics not only of the people that want to destroy the rainforests but also the people that pretend wanting to save it. ( )
