I haven't really read any of Brightest Day so I was not entirely certain of where everything was coming from. That being said this is clearly a Green Arrow/Robin Hood comparison in many ways. I found the tie between Arrow and the new owner of Queen Industries interesting and I love the idea of the forest healing everything. The story felt unfinished and I am wondering if it will be continued prior to the new 52. I am curious about Galahad's part to play and I am wondering if reading the rest of Brightest Day will make things a little bit easier to understand. For the most part I thought the artwork was wonderful. I loved the warm, verdant colors used for the forest and the backgrounds felt pretty amazing. Occasionally someone would make an awkward face though. The proportions would feel off and things just wouldn't work. These days Green Arrow gets to have some pretty dangerous adventures for a guy who's only human. So, it's a magical forest with a white Lantern symbol on a tree in the middle, and Green Arrow has taken up residence in the forest. And while the forest is lush and growing. Star City and Queen Industries are being corrupted. Green Arrow has to deal with both the strangeness of the forest, as well as the crime and corruption in Star City. I thought that the writer combined the two story lines together very well, and also didn't 'over magic' the forest. The art wasn't bad either, and I approved of the goatee continuity throughout the TPB (facial hair art continuity seems to rarely happen in comic books these days, drives me crazy.) sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
Following the devastating attack on Star City by Prometheus, Green Arrow lives in the forest located at the center of the destroyed city, striking out against crime and corruption as a modern day Robin Hood. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
