Cinderella doesn't look quite as perfect as other books have portrayed her, which was refreshing. The end was also different where she moves everyone in with she and the prince and finds husbands for her stepsisters. This was different from any cinderella book that I have read. Cinderella doesn't look quite as perfect as other books have portrayed her, which was refreshing. The end was also different where she moves everyone in with she and the prince and finds husbands for her stepsisters. I don't recall this happening in classic cinderella books. I think that the central message of this book is that you do not have to let the way others treat you change who you are. Even though Cinderella’s step family did not treat her good, she still found it in her heart to let them move to the castle, “Generous and forgiving, Cinderella moved her family into the palace and found a lord of court for each of her step sisters to marry.” I liked this book for many reasons. I really liked the illustrations in the book, and the way that Cinderella was perceived. In this retelling of the story, Cinderella was not the most beautiful girl on the outside. She did not portray the princess norm by beauty but her inner beauty was evident. I also really liked how well the stepsisters were developed. The word choice and pictures really emphasized their ugly personality, and showed you who they truly were. For example, “Would you like to go to the ball?” They said, teasing her cruelly. “Oh, yes!” said Cinderella. “Don’t be ridiculous!” cried the stepsisters. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
