She is sent there under mysterious circumstances that are revealed at the end. When she finally returns to England and her father she causes a stir among the men and meets up with the Duke of Bradford who cannot get enough of her. The main characters don't agree on a woman's place in relationships which causes many arguments. The Duke is obsessively jealous which is also not explained until the end. I enjoyed the humor and the relationship between Caroline and the Duke's best friend (Milford). A light read and enjoyable.
