Summary: Little Red Riding Hood is on her way to her Grandmother's house to bring her a picnic basket. When she arrives, she finds a wolf pretending to be Grandma. She observes the differences between the wolf and her Grandmother, asking questions as to why the wolf looks so strange. Eventually he hops to grab the little girl, tumbling right out a window and down the hill. Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother hug and are happy to be safe together.

Reflection: I liked the ease oof the book. This would be an easy one for young children to read and understand independently or as a class. It also teaches them the importance of staying away from strangers.

Class use: 1) The class could write alternate endings to the story how they think it should have ended. I would proof read them first to make sure none of the endings are too graphic then have the children share their ideas with the class. 2) I would have them draw their favorite sceneas they imagined it when i read the book to them. This would require me to read the book without showing the pictures the first time, but showing them after the class had fiished their illustrations.
