What a beautiful story and what a beautiful set of characters. ( ) This book is a great reminder that, "you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover". August (Auggie) was born with facial deformity and has undergone 27 surgeries. He has been homeschooled until fourth grade. This book discussed Auggie's experiences at school, both positive and negative. This book is a great read to remind everyone that kindness goes a long way and be a buddy not a bully! This book can be used to remind students that we are all unique in our own way and some of our differences might not be as noticeable.
