They have a deal: Rachel will teach the newly divorced Mac to date again, and he'll accompany her to her brother's wedding. Seems like a straight forward trade, but when Mac decides the kisses he wants can only be found on Rachel's lips, he sabotages all her efforts to find him another woman. Rachel's never met a man more inept at meeting women. If he's not sharing inappropriate information, he's hitting them with the worst come-on lines she's ever heard. The man can't even do a decent Texas Two-Step. If she didn't need a date to her brother's wedding so desperately . . . Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

Suzie Quint does not disappoint, I loved this book! It is going on my keeper shelf. I was disappointed when it was over; and I am disappointed that next one in the series is not yet available. I wanted to read this book because after reading the first book in the McKnight Romance series, A Knight in Cowboy Boots, I needed to know what happened next. I loved the first one and this one was equally enjoyable. Suzie Quint combines great characters, situations, love, humor and family.
Mac MacAllister had me sucked in from the very first page. He was a really sweet guy with a big heart, great sense of humor and just a little pinch of smartass. There was definitely attraction between the two main characters but also some hurdles to overcome. He seemed like a man who deserved a happily ever after since he seemed to have been without love for quite some time. I liked how he joked around a lot but when it was needed he could be strong.
Rachel McKnight was the kind of woman I love; she was strong, responsible, caring and selfless. She had a talent for figuring out what people needed and made sure they got it. She used her tough shell to hide the pain she carried with her all the time. Teaching a man how to flirt required getting intimate but she had issues with getting close to men so that caused this deal they had to get quite interesting. Rachel also had not had love in her life for a very long time.
These were two people who were very good at hiding how lonely they were, so it took quite a bit of doing for those walls to come tumbling down. It was actually entertaining but also a little sad watching Rachel try to balance what she felt her family expected of her with what she thought she needed to do for Mac and what she wanted for herself. I really enjoyed the entire storyline. I liked how the characters each had a few different things going on. They each had family issues, friends, work and then their personal relationship with each other. Knight of Hearts was a very well rounded story and each character could be seen from a few various perspectives. That made the whole experience more enjoyable for me. There was humor and tension and also some interaction from the other characters in this series. I can’t wait to see who’s story is coming what is going to happen next.
I would definitely recommend that if you like to read about loving families and hot cowboys you grab this series. I don’t know if they are written as stand-alone stories but I always prefer to read series in order. ( )
