Zara and Astley have gotten Nick back from Valhalla, but all is not well since Zara is still a pixie and Nick=not okay with pixies. Poor Zara. Also, there is mounting pressure from the coming pixie war, which the gang has to somehow figure out how to defend their little snowy town in Maine from, while Zara decides which of her guys she wants to be with. All in all, had lots of action and was a satisfying conclusion to the series. Please excuse typos. Entered on screen reader. A respectable ending for the series. Nick did not get strangled. Sadly. Astley did get loved. Yay. Zara got closure from both her dads. That was cool. The world DIDN’T end. That’s always a plus. Towards the middle-end, which is when they’re engaging in the big battle to dcdie the fate of the world, but the books not over yet, there was a development with Astley. Now, it may be that I’ve read books where similar things have happened, but I DID NOT BELIEVE IT FOR A SECOND. Zara did, though. Stupid Zara. You think he’d actually do that? After being so awesome? Yeah. Issie was funny and cute, as always. Devyn wasn’t as much of a character in this book as in previous ones. Now, sometimes I tell people they should listen to certain bands while reading a certain book. Not that I listened to any of these bands whie reading this book, but I think they might fit, and I do have reasons: Rebecca Black or Justin Bieber: Now, I know what I’m about to say will make people think I’m on the Bieber-hate train. The truth is, I DON’T hate Justin Bieber. If I hear on the radio, I’m cool. My brother has control of our iPod music library, so, no Biebs on my iPod, but I don’t hate him. I do hate that Rebecca Black song, though. Anyway, I think these two artists might fit this book because their music does kind of convey that I’m-a-sixth-grader vibe. If you talked to me about these books or read my reviews, you know that in my opinion, these characters act like sixth graders (Except Astley. Astley’s cool). Leaves Eyes: this is a norwegian-german-some other European country band, but they sing in english. I do not have any of these guy’s songs on my iPod either, but these guys would TOTALLY fit since they sing primarily about Norse Mythology, and this series is all about that Norse mythology, so. Favorite quote from this book: “We kiss like old people.” Issie retorts, crossing her arms over her jacket. “Like old people on TV, actually.” And with that, I leave you. P.S. In other news, completely unrelated to this book, the other day, I bought two books which I now own and, hence, will be able to read at any time of my choosing: The Daughter of Smoke and Bone (and waiting anxiously for Days of Blood and Starlight!) and Nevermore, the final Maximum Ride book. Okay, so I kind of had to be on Team Astley because it just made sense, but after wanting to punch Nick for most of the book, I was definitely there. I also note that while Zara tends to find Nick's macho bit kind of cute, it isn't, and Astley's genuine respect for Zara as a person is much more appealing. I definitely liked how this turned out all around, although I would have liked a tiny bit more clarity on the post script.

HTML:In the fourth and fianl book in a series that began with the New York Times bestselling Need, Zara and Nick must save the town of Bedford from evil forces before it's too late. Rescuing Nick should have made all of Zara's problems disappear. Bedford's greatest warrior is back, not to mention Zara's true soul mate. But it seems it isn't enough. Nick isn't enough. Bedford is being ravaged by evil pixies and they need much more than one great warrior; they need an army to stop the impended apocalypse. Zara isn't sure what her role is anymore. She's not just fighting for her friends, she's also a pixie queen. And to align her team of pixies with the humans she loves will be one of her greatest battles yet. Especially since she can't even reconcile her growing, heart-pounding feelings for her pixie king. . . . Unexpected turns, surprising revelations, and one utterly satisfying romantic finale make Endure a thrilling end to this acclaimed series. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

All in all, this final book in the quartet is actually pretty good. Read Need, find a good review/synopsis for Captivate and Entice, and read this one. ( )
