Two single parents living in the same house, working through the logistics of learning to live in the same space, their blooming attraction. We get to watch this romance bloom, navigating life with their work and children. Nice teen romance with Gavin's daughter too.

What do you get when you mix the Hippie Chick and a Businessman?? A beautiful love story.

Rielle Wetzler has always felt like an outsider her whole life since she was raised by hippie parents that lived there life the way they wanted to regardless of society. When she becames a young single mother on top of that she had to learn to not worry about what others thought of her and just try her best to provide for her and her daughter Rory. She does this by growing and selling fruits and vegetables and special bread. She tried her hand at running a B&B but ended up having to sell her land and home to Gavin Daniels when she got into financial trouble. For two years nothing changed. She continued to live on her land and in her house without any interference from Gavin even though he owned everything.

After Gavin's daughter Sierra gets in trouble with the law he decides he is moving from Arizona to Wyoming. Hoping that being around his family will help with a very strong willed 16 year old girl. What he didnt count on was suddenly being attracted to Rielle who he has agreed can to continue living in the house. He seems to have made piece with his father but still has some resentments toward his mother they are both trying to work on.

Gavin and Rielle weren't the typical McKay couple we've read in past books. Neither of them were very experienced in the sex department. Both had thrown themselves into being single parents and providing for their kids that relationships just weren't top priority. But that also ended up causing some friction between the kids and the parents.

Another difference in this book was having the POV's of both daughters. We really get a lot of Sierra's POV which I enjoyed. She is immediately taken with Boone West who is a 19 year old senior. She never acts on it but they become very good friends. There were also many great conversations between Sierra and Rory and those were the ones that had me tearing up the most in the book.

Gavin got to know and spend more time with his brothers and I particularly liked went he went to Ben - the Dom - for sex advice :)

This was a very touching love story between two people in there 40's that had to work their relationship around being parents. It was also touching seeing Gavin try to work out his feelings toward his mother.

This book also started a few new story arc's and really just gave us enough to have us scratching our heads about Dalton - who's book is next.

Cant wait for 2013 and more RR books!!

This Rough Riders book was a bit different then the norm but it worked in all the right ways! I absolutely loved Gavin and Rielle. I know that Lorelei James is winding down this series but I will be severely disappointed if we don't get a Boone and Sierra story before all is said and done. The way they left off...OMG ( )

First off I love the Rough Rider Series! I haven't read any in a while but I have read quite a few (I haven't read them in order either). One thing I love about the series is the characters are real to me- some are short, some have body image issues, some are divorced, some are older, etc. so everyone can relate. I loved this book because the main characters were my age 40ish. They have some hot steamy sex but they have issues in that department too. There's also a side story about Gavin's daughter and Boone that kind of sad but I could totally see a book of their own when they are older -I'm saying it out loud so maybe it will happen :). I couldn't put the book down and when I did I just kept thinking about them all -Gavin & Rielle as well as Sierra & Boone! Fantastic Ending.
