This was the moderately cute story of Gluey, a snail, and Celerina, a rabbit. Gluey spends all his time gluing Celerina's house back together - she thinks it's magic because Gluey's so small she can't hear him when he tries to explain that he's the one doing the fixing. She then throws him out of her house because she doesn't know that he's been helping her. Then her house really falls completely apart and she needs Gluey back!

That plot explanation sounds needlessly complex, doesn't it? It ends up that the house gets saved by some liitle wood elves or "wee people." And Celerina and Gluey reunite and become true friends.

I don't think Seibold's style fits this tale of forest critters and elves very well.

As for characterization, Gluey is awesome but Celerina is lame. Meh. ( )
