Admirand brings The Secret Life of Cowboys trilogy to a close. To read my review in its entirety, please visit http://www.bookreviewsandmorebykathy.com/2012/07/02/jesse/ ( ) Jesse is the third book in The Secret Life of Cowboys series. IMHO it is the best one! I fell in love with Jesse in the first two books so enjoying him as the main character in this book was the best. Danielle is so protective of her little pink cowgirl I wasn't sure if she was going to let Jesse get close to either of them, some of the things that came out of that child's mouth had me cracking up, she is so precocious. The interaction between Dylan, Tyler and Jessie had me laughing out loud too and it was great seeing the way having women in their lives had changed the two older brothers, for the better I think! Highly recommend all three of these wonderful cowboys for a great escape! Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for review copy. I reluctantly finished "Jesse" by C.H. Admirand so that I could give it my review. I'm sorry, but I was not enamored by this book. The character, Jesse Garahan, was a nice chap with a strong dedication to his family and ranch. His two brothers were also like-minded. I was not impressed with the heroine and her daughter though. Danielle was just divorced from her daughter Lacy's dad and was visiting her uncle to get back on track. Not a week after she arrives in town, she is "in love" with Jesse and they play this cat and mouse game with each other throughout the book. I really got irritated with the little-girl talk of Lacy and her hero-worshipping attachment to Jesse. It seems that the whole Garahan family made it their business to throw Jesse and Danielle together. I was not impressed with the fact that Jesse and Danielle were sexually active just after Danielle's divorce and also because of the presence of Lacy. It just seemed too sordid for me. Sorry that I can't give a better review. I received a free Kindle copy of this book for my honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13126711-jesse I noticed when Dylan and Tyler came out. I put them on my TBR for later because I love cowboy romance. It’s always fun and sweet. When I was browsing through NetGalley, I noticed Jesse and thought it was about time I checked this series out. I’m so glad I did. These brothers are funny, loyal, and passionate. I’ll have to make sure I go back and get all of Dylan and Tyler’s stories. Danielle is a little vulnerable because her husband has just walked out on her and her daughter, Lacy. She tries to keep a distance when Jesse stops to help her, but he’s just so irresistible. Plus, he treats Lacy like a princess. That’s where I was hooked. I loved that little girl. She was so adorable and every scene with her and Jesse just made me want to hug him. He’s so good with her and that gives him this really wonderful good guy soft spot. I wouldn’t really say that there’s a lot of character development, but they both learn to trust one another. I think it’s just an enjoyable story. This is your basic girl meets a cowboy and falls for his Southern accent and manners. The twist is Lacy. The fact that there is a kid in this book moves it up a notch for me. I love kids in romance. I think it’s the sweetest thing. Kids bring out a completely different side of people and I adore that. There are cousins, which makes me think there are more books based on them or more books to come. Either way, I need to read them. If you’re looking for sweet and sexy cowboy romance, search no more. Jesse has everything you need in that department. If you want to be good and start with book one (which I haven’t read yet), it’s called Tyler. sem crÃticas | adicionar uma crÃtica
