![]() Ainda não há conversas na Discussão sobre este livro. This was terrific! I seem to be liking this book more and more with each book I read. I have grown to really appreciate Rachel, Jenks, Ivy, and the rest of the group and love seeing them work together to get out of some pretty impossible situations. This book started out with a bang and I was hooked until the end. I am so glad that I decided to get caught up with this series this year. When Rachel is visiting Trent, Quen, Ceri, and the babies when Ceri and one of the children are taken and Quen is left injured. That should be enough for Rachel to need to worry about but she also needs to fix the ley lines and is on a short timeline to do so. Rachel knows that Ku’Sox is responsible but has no way of proving that to anyone. It seems that one obstacle after another is thrown at her as she tries to save the day. This was a really exciting installment in the series with plenty of surprises to keep me guessing. Marguerite Gavin does an amazing job with this series. I love all of the voices that she uses for the key characters and I think that her range is amazing. I think that she adds just the right amount of emotion and excitement to her reading. I wanted to listen to this book for hours at a time. I believe that her narration added to my enjoyment of this story. I would definitely recommend this series to others. This is the eleventh book in the series so I wouldn’t jump in here but it is definitely a worthwhile series. I have loved seeing the characters evolve over the course of the series and cannot wait to see what might happen next. It's been quite a long time since I read the tenth book in the series and worried that I'd forget what had happened previously but I needn't have worried, after the first chapter I felt like I was back visiting an old friend I hadn't seen in a while and we were catching up. I won't wait so long before reading the next book, but with only two more in the finished series I don't want to rush it. Finished rereading on zat. 6 feb. 2021 Still stand by my critique. But what was up with Quen? Dude I expected more from you... Edit 19-1-2016: Mhuhu I'm rereading/relistening this series and this book stays my favourite. Everything comes together: Al, Trent and Rachel. My only point of critique and that is just because I'm curious: Original entry 30-01-2013: Read it in one day. Love this series. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

The Hollows series has come a long way since its rocky beginnings. Book #2 was almost a DNF and it took a couple of years to get through books 3-7, but now I am hooked!
Rachel has finally accepted her demon nature and not a moment too soon as she will need to use all of her own powers, as well as some extra elven magic, if she is to defeat Ku'Sox, the malicious soul-eating demon, whose nefarious plans include abducting infant survivors of the Rosewood Syndrome, causing a apocalyptic meltdown of the Ever After, and killing Rachel - not all in that order...
The world building is fantastic as Kim Harrison makes the Ever After come alive. It takes real skill to make readers appreciate and care for the inhabitants of what is essentially the demonic realm. Interesting details are provided on the war between the elves and the demons as well as additional information on Algeleirept, the demon we all love despite ourselves, Newt, who is crazy like a fox, and Dally, the self-appointed Machiavellian leader of the demons.
The storyline is action packed with several surprising and traumatic twists and turns involving characters both past and present, but the real highlight (as always) is Rachel and Trent's developing relationship. Long gone are the mistrustful accusations and harsh words as they cement their faith in one another and combine their powers and skills to save those they love.
All in all, the best installment in the series so far, and I cannot wait to see what Harrison has in store for us next. (
