Soft cover book that has numerous works by the Hildebrandt brothers. It starts with a blurb from the author on how he met the brothers, who are twins, while looking for illustrators for a Tolkien calendar in 1977. They ended up making three of them. As well as numerous book covers for Ballentine and Del Rey books. The author talks about the brothers are virtually interchangeable in their art. One can take over for the other when tired, they also can finish each other's sentences. Book was published in 1979 and some of the illustrations show that they are from the 1970s but this certainly does not detract from them. Also prior to reading the book thru I had not realized that one of the original Star Wars posters from 1977 was done by them. ( )
