Dewi is an alpha wolf enforcer. She takes names and kicks butts. During a typical mission, she’s floored when a nerdy, glasses-wearing human kicks her wolf into high gear. He’s her fated mate. Clearly she has to take him before finishing the mission or she won’t be able to focus. One bathroom romp later she has killed one man and abducted another, one Heathcliff McKenzie, a vegetarian professor who bikes to work. Yup, things are about to get interesting.
Lesli Richardson has tipped the typical alpha wolf and human mate plot on its head by giving the more dominant role to the female. I mean she has her way with him then abducts him! The rest of the story follows a similarly funny storyline of ‘Ken’ the grazer meeting Dewi’s pack and her former lover. There were parts of the story that had me giggling so hard I had to read it out loud to my husband. I think the author also had a perfect blend of bedroom scenes and action. While I would have loved it to get more steamy, the action wasn’t worth sacrificing, so I was content.
If you’re looking for a read filled with laughter, love and manhandling of the hero then pick up Bleacke’s Geek. I really hope there are future books as the secondary characters were endearing and deserve their own HEA.
