Summary:
This poem is about an owl and a pussy cat. They love each other very much; they sing songs to each other. They decide to get married. They have to find a ring. They find a pig with a ring on its nose, and he sells it to them. They are then happily married, and dance under the moon!
Personal Reaction:
I thought this poem was pretty good. It had cute rhyming words, and cute ideas. I think kids would like it and it would make them laugh.
Classroom Extension Ideas:
1. Make puppets of all the characters with paper bags.
2. Have kids spilt up in groups with their puppets and have puppet shows.
