Anyone who wants to be more productive and focus needs to read this book. Most books that I read don't stay with me, however every once in a while there is a book that I will be thinking about long after I have finished it. That is how this book is. It is the kind of book that you will read more then once, first just to read it and then second to take notes.

Get up early. Go to bead late.
Have some silent time or meditation time.
Block out time on your calendar for yourself. Keep it as sacred time. Don't compromise it.
Do big, important things early in the day.
Don't keep your email open all the time.

None of these things are secrets. Probably been known for ages. It's not the knowing, its the doing that's the key.

This book made me look at how I spend my time with a more critical eye. "But I don't have time to write" feels way more like a copout than before. I'll be trying a few of their tricks and tips. Worth a read, even if you don't feel you're a creative type. ( )

I really found this to be the kick in the butt I needed to start actively planning my writing and painting practice. While it was somewhat repetitive and not always relevant to me (I get like three emails a day), I think that if you’re the kind of person who needs to hear what this book is saying it’s worth it! ( )
