Blue Beetle (2016-) #3 - Keith Giffen, Scott Kolins, Scott Kolins, Jr., Romulo Fajardo
I apparently never reviewed number two, but I'm not up to it right now so I'll let that be for now.
It was all kinds of fun with Jaime finding out his mom helped out by doctoring for superheroes. He's not good with that, doesn't want to be a hero - but Scarab bonded to him - so he has no choice.
This comes up in this issue as he wakes up, armored, not sure how he got there or what the Scarab did. He's going in for a full barrage of tests now, but is more and more uncomfortable with what his mom is doing.
She has a solid case: her life and these heroes deserve a good doctor. She also doesn't back down, and while hubby and son whinge that it's stubborn of her, it's really not. She's living life by her own code, doing what her morals say are right, and not allowing boys worrying over her safety to stand in her way. If they had another argument, one that was more reasonable, I'm sure she'd at least reconsider.
As it stands, strong woman figure, yay.
Loving this.
