This is extraordinary. I expected the great characters and story from this author, but the the ways the abandoned mental institution affect William, and Colby, elevates 'great' to 'brilliant.' I cried all the way through the last part, so, you know, have a box of tissues handy. Totally worth it.

You should be able to tell if the content will be too much for you by reading the description -- but do be shocked that "conversion therapy" is done right now. Get mad about it. It is torture. (This is in William's past.) ( )

The most compelling aspect of this book is the epistolary unveiling of Bill and through him, Johnny.
