Fantasy. Fiction. Romance. Suspense. HTML:A betrayal he couldn't forget . . .
For Nate Dean, love is a four-letter word. As part of a secret black-ops military unit, he and his brothers were genetically engineered by the government to be ruthless soldiers with an expiration date. But as time runs out, there's only one person who can save his family: the very woman Nate swore he'd never trust again.
A love she couldn't deny . . .

We're getting down to the wire with these brothers. Time is running short for them to get those death chips disabled and they now have proof that baby brother Jory is alive. Their little family is growing, now with Audrey, Nate Jr in utero, and Grandpop Jim. And the Commander may or may not be dead. I'm guessing not.

This book was kind of wild. Like with the other books, A LOT happened. It's more than just the brothers going up against the organization that created them and wants them back. Each book has a separate threat that the brothers need to handle. In this book, it's Nate's turn to risk it all for love.

Nate is second in line, Matt being the oldest. And while the boys were growing up, Matt was the hard one who trained them as if their lives depended on it. Nate was the one who wanted to make sure Shane and Jory knew what a real family felt like. So now, all he wants is their happiness and survival. He has no hope for his own future. Because he heart was broken in the past. But at the end of book 2, Nate learns that his ex Audrey was pregnant. He tracks her down to find out what happened to the baby. And that's how book 3 starts. But when Nate finds Audrey, he finds that she's involved deeply with the Commander and can't understand why. He also can't understand why he still wants her so badly. Nate and Audrey have to deal with their feelings that never ended. They have to work together and learn to trust. And eventually come to realize that they can't be without each other.

Too many things happened to recap them all. But it was action packed the whole way through. Nate and Audrey were bittersweet, but once their reunion eventually leads to good things. She gives Nate a reason to keep fighting and to keep living. And now we head to book 4 to see how this all ends. ( )

So this book made a lot more sense now on the reread when I have read the other two books instead of just picking up this one up and reading it out of order like I did originally. So I originally gave it 2 stars. I will up that to 4 stars as a result of reading it as intended. So is it better than I thought previously? Well generally I don't mind reading a series out of order when the main characters are different in every book. But here I think you really need to read in order so that the over arching plot makes sense and progresses linearly. I liked the hero even though he wasn't as well rounded as I felt that the heroes of the previous two books were. The heroine was nice also but not a stand out. On to the final book of the series. Looking forward to the commander and the psycho Doctor getting their comeuppance. ( )

Hurts to give this such a low rating but then again for me this book hurt to try and finish.

I was captivated by the blurb on the cover and since I had read other books by RZ I figured I was in for a good time. I wasn't. I don't know why but I couldn't bring myself to care about the characters enough to get lost in their story or worry about them finding HEA.

Death by computer chips, psychotic military commanders trying to create the perfect human weapon, brilliant but emotionally dead psychologist who would use her own daughter as means to an end. The brothers, Dane (formerly known as The Grey Brothers) all a bit over the top but with reason I guess. Created and trained from birth by an evil commander and his minions. Two of them have found love, one is possibly dead and Nate (the hero here) has gone back to fnd the computer program and codes to disengage the death chips that were implanted in the boys spine. Set to detonate within the next few weeks.
Right...sounds intriguing, it wasn't. It fell flat for me. Think the final, oh hell moment was when our heroine went for a check-up, at the "facility", for damage report on the leg she had shattered in the explosion that freed the brothers. Finds out leg good but guess what, that surgery to fix the internal problems with your lady bits, that was a ruse...we've impregnated you with the sperm from you long lost love. You know, the one who caused the explosion, because since he you got pregnant once before you are our best chance to get another Grey baby to raise and train. Guess these Grey boys were the commanders biggest success even if they did manage to escape.
Her boss the senator trying to help her bring down the commander while still protecting her mother from harm. Um, hello your mother has treated you and everyone around you like a giant science experiment from day one and you think she needs saving...because she's placed her love and faith in the commander. Nope, don't buy it.
By the 3/4 mark of the book I was skimming it for anything with substance to make me want to slow down and truly read the rest. Couldn't find it. I'm hoping this book was just a one off for me and that I'll still find other stories by RZ to enjoy as I have in the past, this one just wasn't my cup of tea.

I thought that this was a great installment in the Sin Brothers series. I cannot believe that I have had these books sitting around for years and am just now getting around to reading them. This is the third book in the series and I do recommend reading this series in order since some of the plot points are carried on from one book to the next. I had a great time listening to this book and found it to be a really exciting read.

I was really excited to dive into Nate and Audrey's story because I knew that they had a history and I cannot seem to resist second chance romances. I loved learning what exactly happened when they were younger and enjoyed seeing that their connection was still strong. I thought that they had amazing chemistry together and I liked the way that they worked as a team. Audrey was a great character and I almost felt like her upbringing was worse than Nate's.

I thought that this book was pretty exciting. There was a fair amount of action and I was really worried about how things would work out at times. I liked the fact that both Audrey and Nate seemed to be willing to tackle whatever obstacle was thrown their way. It was really easy to cheer this pair on.

I thought that Karen White did a fantastic job with the narration. She handled all of the character voices very well and added a lot of excitement to the story. I found her voice to be very pleasant and found myself listening to the book for hours at a time. I think that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this book to fans of romantic suspense. This book had a wonderful blend of action and romance that kept me hooked until the very end. I cannot wait to start the next book in this series.

I received a digital review copy of this book from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley and purchased a copy of the audiobook. ( )

I enjoyed seeing the continuation of this series, but I can't say I was able to escape into and engage in this book as much as the first two in the series. The plot felt a little looser, with pacing sometimes feeling off when it came to the non-romance element of the book, especially. It also, admittedly, began to feel repetitive of the first two books, so similar in structure that everything was just a little bit too predictable from chapter to chapter. I'm sure I'll finish out the series, but I'm not sure how anxious I'll be to pick up another series by the author after the way this one has progressed. There's nothing wrong with this book compared to the earlier ones--it's just too much more of the exact same without enough variation in either plot or character. Romance is, of course, often pretty predictable, but that's one of the reasons I like romantic suspense--there's more variation and more story to support the romance. But if you get the same plotting/story to support the same romance four books in a row, with variations on the same exact twists... well, it's all just a bit too predictable, no matter how likeable the characters may be.
