Rich did cover well the early-twentieth century aviation scene in America, and Earhart's contribution to it; not only that, but Rich dealt with Earhart objectively and dispels much of the myths surrounding the ill-fated aviatrix. The only issue I took with the book was the bits that just seemed to list her lecture itineraries - although this does serve to show how very busy she was - overall a good read though.
