This book isn't bad per se. Some of the poems are sweet. some are odd. I do love that the poems basically progress through a baby's day--from digging in the kitchen drawers to the blanket they sleep with. Still, I know there are books very similar that I like better. ( )

Cute collection of short poems for little ones. I use it as an introduction to poetry with my kindergarten students. Part of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. ( )

Its a smaller book made for reading to babies. I don't know if it would be a good book for babies to hear, but it would help get their ears thinking about different words. It has cute illustrations and has a lot of fun organization. ( )

Illustrations are better than than the poems in this one. Audience level for this title is probably about 18 to 30 months. ( )

This collection of poems is intended for toddlers and author does a great job at picking themes of toddlers’ world like: Walking, Toes, In my stroller, Sneeze for introducing them to the world of rhymes with humor, simplicity and also craft. In that regard DePaola illustrations are great complement, bold, simple with a soft palette of colors very appropriate for this age range.
