I'm all for books that are interactive when it comes to helping us change our way of thinking about a situation, in order to change the outcome of that situation. Dr. Katz book for Junior High School youth, parents and teachers is designed to do just that, and it is invaluable not only to the kids but also for the adults going through this time of emotional, hormonal and physical change with same-said youth. When my daughter was going through these stages of her life, I had to get up daily and remind myself that this was her life experience and a time of constant change. Sometimes I forgot. I don't know if I did the best job guiding HER through that understanding as well!

The way this interactive book is set up, it brings what we consider in our minds to be obvious to the surface and walks through the work that allows an understanding of how to create a positive atmosphere and outlook for self. Any of us know that being positive and thinking positive draws positivity towards us! Conveying that to a teenager is a whole different ball game!

I am going to help my 10-year-old son work his way through this book when he is approaching Junior high. I suggest it to any parent or educator who is preparing the way for kids in that age-range. ( )

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a great tool to give to your teenager. We as parents are always giving them pep talks and telling them to think positively and with this book and the exercises the kids can do just that! I gave this to my teen and he liked the way it was written, he said he could understand it all and it made a lot of sense. ( )

A great short book to help teens deal with some aspects of school. It misses some aspects such as kids now have to deal with the threat of guns and violence. But on the positive note kids it can motivate kids on keeping a journal and believing in themselves. ( )

Small manual to help adolescents overcome the high school more or less unscathed becoming more aware, optimistic and above all to overcome the complex of inferiority that at this age are almost "mandatory."

Piccolo manuale per aiutare gli adolescenti a superare le scuole superiori piú o meno indenni diventando piú consapevoli, ottimisti e sopratutto superare i complessi di inferioritá che a questa etá sono quasi "obbligatori".

THANKS TO LIBRARYTHING AND ORLY KATZ FOR THE PREVIEW! ( )
