The first part of the book held my interest. Trying to decide why a suicide occurs in a way that is not true to the character June knew. Did not make sense that a mousy girl would do all she did to get answers, have the hot guy boyfriend. Could understand attraction to Delia but not the need to hate her Mom so much. Figured drugs would be part of story, liked concept of the setup for Delia’s death. Didn’t believe reason for Delia killing her Dad, using others to get her way. Confused by ending. ( )

Wow. This was a struggle. The first half was good and I was hooked, but once the "plot twist" happened,I just wanted it to be over. This definitely won't be a book I read again. ( )

** spoiler alert ** This book was okay. When I was halfway through the book it took what people are accurately describing as a "cheap twist". It started as a nice mystery of her POS stepfather probably killed her and these two teens team up to solve the crime. I was fully on board until Delia showed up out of nowhere and ruined the story. So halfway thought we find Delia faked her death to leave her horrible family. Then they plot to kill her stepdad together and June is like WTF?! Anyways the second half is a weird murdery, sexy, and lesbiany mess. Apparently Delia like June but hooked up with her boyfriend? Also, it ends with her just killing June, at least that is what was implied to me. Overall it felt like two different books fused into one and I was not a fan of the second one ( )

This book was so not for me. It is a very quick and easy read but Delia is vile. I think there was good in June but Delia just poisoned her.

I don't believe I am the target audience for this book. However, I hope that teens are not this disturbed. June seems like a decent person. Evan and Ashling might be okay and I think Sebastian wants to be good but Delia is just evil. ( )

I really enjoyed Suicide Notes From Beautiful Girls! I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the writing and how engrossed in the story I became. The main character June reminds me of me and my friends in high school, unwittingly naive. I found her to be a very realistic high school aged character which is refreshing. The story was great. The thriller aspects where perfectly laid out to where you can figure it out, but your still unsure until the author reveals it. And the ending left me hanging on the edge, but in a good way. I don't usually like endings left open to interpretation, but it really suited this story. ( )
