Blood Slaves by N.L. Hoffmann (bk 1 in The Daughters of Darkness series) ...If you love paranormal romance you will love this book ! It has a wonderful story line,characters that brought it to life for me,it has humor,romance,suspense & plot twists,which are always a plus for me...You will love Blake,she is half demon/half vamp,she is sassy and snarky which I love in my female characters*grins*. Her boss sent undercover on the hunt for the Covert,who is abducting young girls to be used as blood slaves. And Eli,a dark sexy vamp in his own right who becomes her partner in a sense as they hunt for the Covert.You have to read it for more,as it's too easy to give away spoilers....Another reason I loved this book,it focuses on other characters in the book as well,i.e.,shifters,vamps,& others,and it is not a 2 dimensional book,as it isn't only based on 2 key characters,though they are the integral part of the story line..I would like to encourage readers to read this book,let your imagination soar,to imagine the possibilities of what can happen..I can safely say,after you have read this one,you will want more ! ( )

An Exciting New Debut

Blake Noble is a half vampire and half demon working for the Supernatural Crime Division. She's feisty with a wry way of looking at life and a take no prisoners attitude to her job. Blake is an entertaining character as she juggles new demonic powers complete with lessons from her previously unknown father Lucifer while working undercover to stop Covert, an ages old association of vampires who prey on young women, AND cope with her inconvenient but spicy attraction to a high ranking vampire. It's a story with non stop action on every level with a kick ass heroine.
