I love the The Beyond series and this one is no exception even though it's only a novella.
Noah Lennox arranged for a woman to take care of young Emma Cibulski, his deceased friends sister, and keep her safe while he starts on a plan to take down the corrupt leader of Sector 5 for his involvement in his death.
But on his return 4 years later he never expects to find that Emma had run away and had allied herself to the dangerous gang, the O'Kanes.
And Emma is not a young girl any more but a hot, scantily clad woman.
He want's her. She want's him. And when they get together it's hot.
There's action, tension and O'Kane sizzle. Great! ( )

This is just a novella, but I feel that it is a wealth of knowledge about the series. There is so much background information, more than in some of the other books. It has the sex and the couples struggles course, but connecting the facts from this with the facts of the others comes together so nicely and has me craving more insight.
Another thing I liked about this book in particular is the type of guy Noah is. All of the O'Kane men are absolutely yummy tough fighters, muscled and amazing, but Noah is a hacker. So everything isn't physical with Noah. He's a genius. Of course, they're all a genius at something, but none of the others as far as I know have an expertise with computers and hacking. Also, in this story the chick is already O'Kane and the guy is not, usually the other way around.
I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to more.
-Physically, maybe. He believed that now. But in every other way...If the persistent ache in his formerly numb heart was anything to go by, the O'Kanes were the most vulnerable bastards around.- ( )

Nice story about Noah and Emma. Really interested to see how they use Noah's character in the future. ( )
