The story is about what the girl's dad says happens at the zoo at night when visitors are not there. The little girl in the book says that the animals are always sleeping when she comes to see them so she wonders what they do all night long to be so tired during the day. The book incorporates many different animals and great vocabulary words. This book could be read to young children as low and preschool and up to grades as high as 3rd. This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways. What a sweet sweet book to cuddle up with your little ones and read. I have a 3 year old granddaughter and this has become one of her favorites books for me to read to her. The story is cute, the pictures are colorful and she has so much fun pointing out all the different animals and what they were doing or playing. I won this from LibraryThing Members giveaway and my granddaughter and I highly recommend this book. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
Ever wonder why the animals at the zoo are always so sleepy? What the Sleepy Animals Do at the Audubon Zoo will answer your questions once and for all. When Renee asks her father why the zoo animals are snoozing all day, he dreams up an elaborate answer. At night, the monkeys steal the zookeeper's keys, and all of the animals come out of their cages to dance, eat, and play. Rhinos rock out. Alligators stroll under limbo polls. Elephants pound the piano. Pelicans cater. By the time the visitors arrive in the morning, the animals are all tuckered out. Renee doesn't believe her father's tale, but dads have a way of being right about these things. This fantastic story captures the culture and charm of the New Orleans and its beloved zoo with rich illustrations and playful rhyme. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
