Nitpicky but this really annoyed me: If there are 10 forest fires within 4 miles in your city, I think you would notice and would have mentioned in the book before 'oh we have to evacuate'. We have fires hours away from us right now and the smoke is EVERYWHERE. You would not go for a 20 mile run outside if they were that close because the smoke would make it almost impossible for you to do so. I get that it was an excuse to have them in a different setting but seriously? C'mon. That could have actually been a really dramatic plot point but it was just used as an excuse for them to helicopter away to a vineyard. *insert eye roll here* ( )

Okay, I love Ethan Frost. Like he was probably my first book boyfriend since Laurie from Little Women kind of love. And I loved Ruined, the first book in this series. I was happy with the pairing of Chloe and Ethan. But after Addicted, not so much. Chloe annoyed me in this book to the point of frustration and almost to the point of Kindle throwing). Ethan has never been shy about what he wants and Chloe was so wishy washy back and forth with everything. I get it, she's got trauma but come on! Deal with it, make a decision, go to therapy, etc. DO SOMETHING. She's one lucky lady because she got her HEA. I'm not sure I would have been as patient in Ethan's shoes. I still loves me some Tracy Wolff but I was disappointed in this sequel. ( )

Chloe is in turmoil about their whole relationship. She keeps finding out things that Ethan is keeping from her to protector or so he thinks. But as Ethan is her rock whether she likes it or not or wants it or not. Everything he messes up she forgives him. But this last one might be the last straw to break the camels back.

Ethan is barely living without Chloe through their up and downs. He loves her and want to protector her always. But omitting things is not helping their relationship. Ethan knows he should tell her but he can't cause it will break them up but when he doesn't it do. Can he keep doing this to her and expect her to keep forgiving him?

Will Ethan's over protectiveness be the last straw for Chloe once she finds out everything?

Every book that I have ready by this author, I have loved. I could not put the books down. Tracy has become one of my favorite authors. I recommended this book to others. ( )

Loved! It! Ethan and Chloe work hard to salvage their relationship after Chloe learns that the man who haunts her past is actually Ethan's half brother. After all they've been through can they survive another bombshell??
