A kid brings some food to a fox and her little foxlets after the adults in the town shun her, and the foxes plant a beautiful garden on the kid's carpet to thank him. Pretty whimsical. It's easy for children to point out in the beginning that Fox is about to have a new family of kits to care for. She's searching for a safe place for her new family and finds it in a greenhouse nearby. The boy who lives there is curious about her. Follow along in the story to see how their relationship will unfold. The illustrations are cut paper and have a warm and realistic appeal. It always amazes me when reading these wordless books that once you get to the end, you never realize that there were no words because the illustrations say so much. I'm looking forward to reading this entire series... 5***** 'Fox's Garden by Princesse Camcam is a wonderful story about a boy who's kindness to a fox brings him a reward. When a pregnant hungry fox is shooed away by many people a boy decides to give her food in order for her and her babies to be well nourished. The night the mother fox is given food her babies are born. To return the kindness bestowed on them, the foxes build a garden for the boy. This is a wonderful story about kindness that teaches children to be kind to all creatures without expecting anything in return. This picture book is also wonderful for children to read and interpret meaning. This book shows the struggle of a fox trying to find shelter. As the fox comes to a nearby town, she goes to the door of a little boy, but his mean father answers the door and turns the fox away. The little boy sneaks out the window to take the fox a basket to sleep in, when he finds her with her babies. The little boy returns home, only to have the fox and her babies follow in behind him. This book is very heartwarming and shows children how to be a kind person, because even though the fox is an animal, the young boy helped the fox even before he knew she had babies. A good lesson for children would be to treat people kind no matter what their situation.
An act of tender compassion is given (and repaid) in secret during an icy winter night.
"One snowy night, a fox loses its way, entering a village. Chased away by the grown ups, Fox takes shelter in a greenhouse. A little boy sees this from his window. Without hesitating, he brings a basket of food to the greenhouse, where he leaves it for the fox. His gift is noticed and the night becomes a garden of new life, nourished by compassion and kindness. Princesse Camcam's cut-paper illustrations, along with the beautiful lighting of the sets she creates, make the experience of looking at these illustrations both touching and transcendent. Their beauty and essential simplicity reflect the beauty of the story. The reader is left charmed by the fox and the child and thoughtful about the emotional lives of both humans and other creatures."-- Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
