This book does what it says on the tin! On the back cover it claims that it "provides an excellent introduction and analysis of the events of this epochal conflict" and it most certainly does that. Both author and publisher are to be congratulated on putting together a very useful and interesting overview of this complicated story in just 144 pages of paperback text. While there are no illustrations, it's fair to say that the well-written text is illustration enough! ( )
