Adira ao LibraryThing para descobrir se irá gostar deste livro. Ainda não há conversas na Discussão sobre este livro. I like Brody. Brody is nice. Brody is normal. He's a protector and a decent guy. Stop hating on Brody, even if he isn't end game. Okay, now that I've gotten that off my chest... Mina gets invited to a ball and a shoemaker shows up with glass slippers, only when the clock strikes...something...they take her back in time, so I guess this is Cinderella meets the Elves and the Shoemaker meets the Wizard of Oz. Or something totally different. I don't know. But it's fun. And also, she is whisked back in time to The Selection (which is totally possible, since Cass wrote it a couple years before this book). It's a good almost-last book. The time travel is definitely illuminating and I'll leave it there. Despite how heartbreaking so many things were, this may have been my favorite book in the series. So many answers. Still no solution, but things are starting to make sense. Sort of. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

I didn't like this book as much as the previous ones. To be honest, I'm frustrated by this series. The premise is great, the execution average and the romance is a total fail. The love triangle just doesn't work. You can't have an epic love story when one part of the epic is busy pining after some other guy. Everything Mina does is about Brody. And that's fine if Brody is her true love. I mean I don't like Brody and I don't particularly see what they have in common but fine. Except he keeps being removed from the board.
I don't like Brody but forcing her together with Jared or Teague isn't working. I will admit, I continued with this series because I thought Jared was going to be her true love. But every book since has just reiterated how much she loves Brody. Even at the start of this one, when she's
As far as the Godmother's, they deserve everything they get. Haven't they ever heard of a self fulfilling prophecy? If they'd left things alone to start with none of the terrible things the Grimms and Mina have gone through would've happened. And really, after all their whinging in the last book about how they don't "interfere" they're also complete hypocrites. Mina should just join forces with Teague against them and the world would be better. They didn't want her to go after Charlie in the last book because apparently she was too important to risk - but now in this one she's fine on her own (and without her friends since they decided she could only have one human know about the Fae) because Fae children are in danger? What jerks.
I did like the friendship between Mina, Ever and Nan though. And Nix was still awesome. The scenes between Teague and Mina were
So I have mixed feelings. The plot kept me interested but the characters drove me mental. I'll read the next one - I've come this far - I have to know how it all ends. For this one though, 3 stars. ( )
