This book however has lots of details about LA that I appreciate. LA here is defined as LA County which is pretty expansive if you only presumed LA as encompassing Hollywood (which is an area within the Los Angeles irregularly shaped City Limits). This is actually the most comprehensive book (no photos) I've ever read about sights to see. Yoon gives the reader 10 chapters and each of those chapters ends with a guest contributor who adds a few other insights not covered by her. Of course some of the smaller suggestions may not actually exist any longer but it's good to see stuff that once hosted tourists here. Most listed "attractions" are existent. Since the time of publication there is a huge influx of gyms, yoga studios, restaurants, and bars. For better or worse record and book stores are mostly gone, nevertheless LA has much to offer. This increase of visitors has also increased traffic and eliminated parking areas across the city. Planning a visit in LA now requires longer stays to see even a few attractions in one of the specific locales. In that sense LA resembles London while Italian cities restrict developments so they are still mostly walkable. This book has David Lynch as a blurber (He lives in Hollywood and his home is a noted pause on celebrity tours). Really an excellent book overall. Index, Monthly calendar of major events, precise descriptions of places. Authoritative and a pleasure to read. ( ) sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
