Another Weir with a twist. ( )

Honestly, I need to read [b:The Martian|18007564|The Martian|Andy Weir|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1413706054s/18007564.jpg|21825181] before Weir writes more short stories. This and [b:The Egg|17563539|The Egg|Andy Weir|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1431492647s/17563539.jpg|24496290] are both annoying exercises in perspective, not stories. The self-satisfied author "read it again" at the end really puts it over the top in irritation factor. ( )

This one was pretty sad and weir(d), definitely not as likeable as the other two I've read today. Daughter having gone through a terrible childhood, seeking revenge at a later age? Or is this too simple a conclusion? ( )

It was okay. This is probably the best description in the least amount of words (okay, I could have gone with 'OK', but in most cases I dislike abbreviating, so, deal).

The story begins with a woman talking with her doctor after an accident. Things are obviously not as they seem, and this is clear from the beginning just from the way she is talking with her doctor - the things she is revealing, the questions he is asking.
