A great take on an old children's story. This book rhymes and has a jaunty meter perfect for reading aloud. My kids loved this book so much when we took it from the library that we just had to have it on our shelves. They could recite the lines several years removed from their last reading as teenagers with smiles on their faces! The firs line will hook you:

"There was an old dragon who swallowed a Knight, I don't know why he swallowed a knight, it's night polite."

It only gets better from there with a conclusion that is sure to make everyone giggle! ( )

Fun story of dragon swallowing different things.....similar to the OLD LADY WHO SWALLOWED A FLY

Funny rhyming story about dragon swallowing different things.

Very similar to the classic tale of "There was an Old Lady Who Ate a Fly", although I found it much more fun. I liked the way the book expressed that him actually consuming these things (knight, horse, squire, etc) was "not polite". ( )
