( ) A day-in-the-life book with a bunny family where the little bunny's things -- books, combs, spoons -- are smaller versions of the parents' things. It's nice in its gentle, random way, but it's easy to see why this is less popular than Goodnight, Moon, garnering only 1,043 ratings on Goodreads compared to the other's 350,025. I purchased it today for 99 cents at my local Goodwill. I was excited as it was "a companion to goodnight moon". Goodnight Moon is a classic in our house. I think we own four copies of it and it was a big part of both of our childhoods. I had hoped that the beautiful rhythm and would continue on in this book. However, it was disjointed and didn't really make sense to me. I understand that it is the little bunny's world, but it was not my cup of tea. It will probably return to Goodwill. Joe's opinion: "There is not a single mouse in this book" Why, or why did Goodnight Moon need a “companion” book. Except for the illustrations I don’t really see how one book goes with the other. I have never really been a fan of Goodnight Moon, I much prefer the parody’s. As for this book, leave it on the shelf. Goodnight Moon may be a classic, but this is not. In my opinion, this is a good book. First, I like the language that is used throughout the entire story. There are many rhyming words that are being used, and the words are very simple. For example, on one page of the book it says, “My fish. Daddy’s fish. When you catch a fish you make a wish.” The rhyming words on this page were fish and wish. When a book rhymes like this one does is make the reading more smooth and enjoyable. Another thing I liked about this book were the illustrations. There were two big reasons that I liked the illustrations. First, I liked how some of the pages were covered with just the illustrations and no words. I liked this because it allowed me to look closely at these pictures and come up with my own ideas rather than reading them from the page. The other thing I liked about the illustrations was that some were in color and some were in black and white. It is actually every other page that is color which I found very interesting. For some reason, this really kept my interest in the story and made me want to finish it to see if my idea of the pattern was correct. The big idea of this story was that you and your parents have similarities and differences. Throughout the story you see the parents and the child using some of the same things but in different ways, or using different versions of things. The child in this story really looks up to his parents and realizes all the things they have in common, and also the ways that they are different. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
