Q+1: Short Works from the Quadrants Series Authors

Four short pieces, each gathered as a companion to its respective novel in the Quadrants Series. It's unclear to me whether each author contributed a short work related to their novel, or whether the connection is looser in some cases, merely another text by the same author.

I read them in the manner of a taster, the stories didn't leave a strong impression of plot or character, rather present a lingering sense of spare and somewhat experimental prose poems.

I started with the story by Robert Ashley (the only author previously known to me), it is haunting almost like a horror story, though it's not. I think this tells me a little about what scares me, like Jacob's Ladder. It is not intended, I don't think, this feeling of horror, but for me acute. ( )
