"Iris Johansen's third book in her latest explosive trilogy starring forensic sculptor Eve Duncan takes readers on a high-energy adventure with Eve fighting to overcome the odds. Protecting Cara Delaney from the enemies who want her dead leads Eve to be their target. It will take everything she has to rescue Cara, and doing so will put that which is dearest to her at risk. SHADOW PLAY, the first book in the trilogy and book 19 in the series was the first book I read by Iris Johansen with Eve Duncan and I was instantly hooked and since then have I read several Eve Duncan books. However, I've been looking forward to reading NIGHT AND DAY, the last in the trilogy after I read HIDE AWAY, the book before this one that ended with a cliffhanger...

The melodramatic dialogue is nauseous at times. I mean really.
- I'll save your Eve....
- ... I wouldn't let you go flying after your Cira...
- But you do have your Bonnie...
- ... your Joe Quinn...
- I've got a good feeling about this, Joe.
- ...think Michael owes him, Joe.

As I read I don't see Cara being 11 years old. The author has mentioned that she was mature for her age, but this is waaaay over the top. I sometimes think Cara and Jock would make out any second.

I dislike the previous book (Hide Away) but since I have read two previous ones I wanted to finish the mini series. This one is still a bunch of non sense but better than Hide Away.

I won't be reading her upcoming books. What would be good alternative, if you are like me is to borrow audiobook from the library, preferably an abridged version.

I enjoyed the forensic sculpture and a little supernatural attributes but those were two books ago in Shadow Play.
Shadow Play had a good story and should have wrap it there. It's a shame, the author has good characters in this series but to write a whole book about hiding (Hide Away) and another retrieving (Night and Day) is silly. If your curious about the treasure.... Sorry to disappoint you maybe next book or one after that..... ( )

It's been a while since I read any in this series and I've missed some of the progress of the characters and really I don't care.

Eve is trying to protect Cara Delaney and they're now in Scotland looking for treasure when Cara's mother returns tto take her away but it's for her own reasons and Cara is in danger. Meanwhile Ee is pregnant and dealing with the emotions and guilt and its all hard.

Not a bad story but didnt stand out for me ( )

Garbage. Too much dialogue and not enough story. ( )
