There are not many books that are informational with a story line. The illustrations in the book are also very entertaining for young children, for example, on the fourth page Ms. Frizzle comes into the gym flying wearing a butterfly costume. This book is not only informational, but is creative. The way the bus transfroms into a boat is very exciting and it makes you want to be apart of a classroom. This book shines a posititve light on learning and being in the classroom. Ms. Frizzle also inspires me personally to be a pationate and entertaining teacher, while also teaching the children as many things as I can. In the book their is a quote from Ms. Frizzle that I really liked, the quote was, :Where the road ends, the adventure begins!" This quote gets you excited for the adventure to come after the bus has transformed into a boat. The fact that Ms. Frizzl and the class shrunk to be the same size as the animals gives you more understanding of what these small insects look like up close and personal. In my opinion, this is a very good book as it relates to its genre and appeal to children. I liked that the book was engaging, organized, and accurate which is all that a non fiction book should be. In the Magic Tree house, the information that is being taught is very engaging to the reader because the author chose to place it in a fantasy style story. This encourages younger readers to take interest in non fiction text because it is told in story form. All of the information was very accurate. The author explained each insect that the students encounter by describing their true characteristics such as color shape diet and predator. This book also did a great job with language. In non fiction writing, it is important to engage children and this is one way to really pull them in. The author writes in a way that is extremely descriptive but comprehendible. She describes colors and actions of these insects in such a way that sucks the reader right in. The big idea in this story is to inform readers about different types of butterflies. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
