Owl, who is the main character in this story is going to bed, once he gets into bed and is ready to go to sleep, he starts to hear noises that scare him, the culprit—a mouse. This is a very good book to implement into the classroom because it is a very engaging and entertaining but also funny story. It is a good way to get the classroom engaged and excited. It definitely reaches for a younger audience, but it is a good read to with very good illustrations to get excited about what they are going to learn. ( )

"Owl was settling into bed when he heard a noise..."

This picture book version of Tana French's Broken Harbor sees Owl, driven to distraction by a squeaking sound, dismantle his whole house. Finally, the culprit is revealed: a mouse.

And then he saw the noise.
SQUEEK
Owl smiled.
He said, "Good night, noise."

The final picture shows mouse sleeping on top of Owl's covers, the bed open to the stars in the night sky. ( )

Goodnight Owl is a cute little book about a baby owl trying to go to bed but getting distracted by noises that a mouse is making. Once he told the squeak noise goodnight they both went to sleep. This would be a great book for parents to read to their children before they go to bed. Preferably children kinder and under. ( )
