Our protagonist, blonde cap-wearing Honey, discovers a semi-invisible man in the hotel of her ballerina boss, Beatrice. He is a secret admirer of Beatrice's; he has invented an invisibility ointment which gives away the user's location by its strong smell of butterscotch (hence the title), and much sexy hilarity ensues (for certain values of hilarious). ( )

Discovering 'most of' a very strange naked man turning himself invisible in her girlfriends apartment, is just the start of a sexual romp confronting the heroine "Honey" of this, one of the better presentations from the incredibly talented Milo Manara.

It is probably many peoples fantasy to imagine what they could get up to if they were able to make themselves invisible at will. Manara inevitably pushes the 'sexual antics' version with humour and invention.

The strange man is the inventor of a butterscotch smelling potion that bends light rendering the wearer invisible and he uses it because he only wants to be beside his love interest, a prima-ballerina, as she sleeps at night......only. Of course it couldn't and doesn't end there and the story progresses with amusing vignettes that will have the reader chuckling, but also thinking that they themselves might act a little differently. ( )

Manara's udgave af den usynlige mand. Beatrice d'Altavilla er en berømt skuespillerinde og en af hendes beundrere er fysikprofessor. Han har opfundet en usynlighedscreme med karamel som ingrediens. Beatrice er lidt træls at omgås og hendes veninde Claudia også kaldet Honey venter lidt med at afsløre professoren. Da hun får givet ham et sprøjt bronzespray i hovedet, tror hun at det er nemt at følge op på det, men nej. Han fortrækker ikke en mine, selv om hun udsætter centrale dele af ham for kraftig påvirkning.
Så følger nogle småoptrin, hvor han har fået bronzesprayen af og følger efter Claudia og udsætter hende for lidt af hvert: "Ja, du elsker Beatrice, men det er mig, du røvpuler!".
Han elsker Beatrice, men Beatrice elsker ikke ham, så han hævner sig ved at udstille hende nøgen for åben tv-kamera og balletpublikum. Så bryder scenen sammen og driver til havs og Beatrice redder sig kun ved at tage fat i en usynlig kæp.

Ganske underholdende bagatel og Manara tegner jo smukt. Nogle af elementerne er bestemt set før. Ung kone med meget kontrollerende gammel mand som i Kliktoris og skibbrud på havet med nøgne mennesker som i "Skinnet bedrager". ( )
