In Berenson’s mystery novel, Melanie Travis is focusing her efforts on showing her dog since her fiancé took off to find himself. Her brother Frank is about to wed his girlfriend, Bertie when the wedding planner suddenly vanishes. In a panic Bertie gives Melanie an ultimatum—take over the wedding or find the missing woman. Opting for the latter, Melanie quickly stumbles into trouble when Sara’s—the wedding planner—house burns down and a woman’s body is found in the rubble. Sara had made a lot of enemies in her time including members of her own family leaving Melanie to wonder if any of them were capable of cold blooded murder. Determined to solve the case, Melanie works day and night to stay ahead of the tracks of a killer. Likeable characters with great twists and turns. A wonderful addition to the A Melanie Travis Canine Mystery series. sem crÃticas | adicionar uma crÃtica

Melanie Travis #8
Opting for the latter Melanie unearths big trouble when Sara's cottage burns to the ground and a woman's body is found in the rubble. Plenty of people held grudges against Sara including a disgruntled groomer a past dog show competitor and an embittered ex-boyfriend. Even Sara's own family seems oddly unconcerned about her. Are the blue-blooded Bentleys cold-blooded enough to kill one of their own? The only thing that's certain is that it's up to Melanie to stop a murderer in his--or her--tracks. . . ( )
