This third book in the Blur Trilogy brings the underlying storyline of Daniel Byers to an exciting head. Like the previous two books, there is a main mystery here to be solved by Daniel and his friends, only this time Daniel has some other allies he meets up with to help with the major case, one that could impact the entire country. The reader also gets some long-awaited answers from the other books too. This is definitely a young adult book, but as an adult, I enjoyed it too. It has plenty of action, actually nonstop action, without all the wordy details that the adult books like to throw at you. Some series you can join in the middle and be fine, but this is not one of them; please read them all in order. You’ll want to read the entire series anyway as all the books are very good. I really loved the dialogue between the teens and reading about their friendship and loyalty to one another. It rang true, at least to me (as an adult), who has observed many kids this age. The kids are fun loving and what I want to call good kids—they participate in school activities, respect their parents, take school seriously, and stay out of trouble, except for the trouble they get into while investigating mysteries! This book was a great way to round out the trilogy with a wonderful mystery, great action scenes, some fun new characters, and great writing by Steven James. I would recommend this to any reader, teen boys or girls alike, and adults too looking for a lighter read. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

Meanwhile, the evil doctor who was experimenting on prisoners in the second book, is busy trying to kidnap Daniel and three other teens who have similar powers. Add in a secret government plot, another creepy hospital, multiple close calls, and a surprise at the end and you have the perfect conclusion to a great trilogy. ( )
