That's fun. I think it'll be a regular reread, like The Prince Commands. It's fluff, of course - a historical about as solid as the average Regency romance - but I like Murray, and Kevin, and Ned. A very twisty tale, with two different lost heirs, a blackmailer, a circus and several other such vagabonds, two different sets of smugglers... I kept waiting for one or another of the young men Murray encountered to turn out to be a young lady. Nope, no romance here, at least not featured. A very good story - and now I want to read the earlier one, about Murray's father.
Argh. I just wanted to look at a couple things, after I read the first book (Yankee Privateer)...and somehow I got sucked in and reread the whole thing. Still a good story, even though I knew all the secrets in advance. ( )

Andre still crafts a good story. This one is more mature than most of hers...maybe as time goes past she's having trouble with teen stories as well.
Whatever the reason, this is a bit more complex of plot than many of her earlier works, as well as being a historical rather than futuristic fantasy. ( )
