Einstein’s Peep Show is the story of nerdy Nathan Wright who earns money for his math’s degree by performing sex on the internet. His friendly neighbor Rory Jones is pulled into Nathan’s ‘job’ when Nathan needs someone to perform a blow-job on, immediately. The story is told in third person from Nathan and Rory’s povs.

This is an adorable short story. Since it’s a shorty, the pace is fast, as is the development of the relationship. However, the time span covers a few months, with chapters skipping a month or so in between the characters having sex.

Nathan is a geek. He’s studying for his math’s degree and needs the money his live cam sex acts bring him. Especially from BigMan. BigMan is controlling and demands Nathan find a guy to give a blow job to, preferably someone big and uncut like he is. That’s how Nathan ends up knocking on Rory’s door and blunting asking him if he’s gay and asks questions about his cock. Nathan takes things literally, is very intellectual and he prefers to be alone. His desire for no relationships could be partly because he’d been burned by his past boyfriend. He has trouble relating to people and also has difficulty understanding and interpreting people’s facial expressions. For all those reasons I tend to imagine Nathan as being either Autistic or having Asperger’s to some degree.

Rory on the other hand is very outgoing, more of a party boy. He’s confused at first by Nathan’s abrupt questions, but as long as it’s a blow-job, he’s cool with it. Even if it’s live online. He’s a kinky guy anyway. I found Rory presented as a no-strings kind of guy, someone who didn’t form attachments, but through his monologue, I found out it contradicts how he presents himself. He’s a cuddler, a kisser, and affectionate. He seems like a dichotomy, but is actually a very accepting person, a nice guy. He grows attached to Nathan quite quickly, finding his geekiness attractive.

The story isn’t all porn or romance, but I would say it’s equally divided between the two. The romance developing through the porn. There are misunderstandings due to Nathan’s difficulty relating and understanding what Rory wants. On Rory’s part, he doesn’t quite understand Nathan’s behavior so he doesn’t want to push, but he does want to push for more at the same time. Both MCs are well suited to each other.

I want to add that the on-air, dirty-talk that Rory and Nathan speak to each other during sex is absolutely hilarious. They definitely have a fun time and not just with the sex.

Cute and adorable, I enjoyed this fast read. I’d recommend this book as a fun way to pass the time. I give Einstein’s Peep Show, 4 Stars.

The last thing Rory Jones expected was a proposition from his neighbor in the hallway of their building. It's not that he's averse to random hookups. But his nerdy, keep-to-himself neighbor, Nathan, never quite seemed the type. And when Rory learns that Nathan wants to broadcast their time together on a webcam, things get even more interesting. It's not something he's ever done before, but there's always a first time for everything, no?

Nathan might be one to agree with Rory's assessment. He's working hard on his maths degree and has little time for much beyond school. Well, aside from his online cam show which helps him make ends meet. And it's something he hoped to keep a secret until his biggest--and highest paying--fan asks for something more. He works through the awkwardness to ask for Rory's help in what he's sure will be a one time thing.

What neither expects is that they do enjoy their time together. Rory's not put off by the camera. Nathan, though he's not ready for another relationship, felt a connection with Rory he hasn't felt in a while. But it was all just for the camera, right? If they took that out of the equation they would go back to having nothing in common, wouldn't they? But relationships and feelings aren't based on mathematical functions. And unlike that homework due tomorrow, they're also not easily ignored.

I wasn't sure what to think of this at first. It's one of those "jump right into it" stories, and it starts with quite the event. But what's great is that's what pulled me in. This is a quick-moving, high intensity story with no scene or word out of place. The potential for a relationship builds quickly. But it feels right considering the background of the characters. I was with them every step of the way. And I certainly wouldn't mind the opportunity to find out what happens next.
