Well you can know a good bit about Texas by reading this Eyewitness Book about the state. It stays interesting and provides a lot of solid information. It is at the same level as most of the Eyewitness Books, which students seem to enjoy reading and flipping through. My only problem with it is that many pages seem too crammed with information in small print. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

This is a good book to have in the classroom. It gives a good survey about Texas. It is easily to read and follow. Some of the text may be too small for some people to read. The information presented in this book only should serve as a starting point for student inquiry and research. In terms of content, it may be too shallow for an instructional unit. Depth is also lacking, The redeeming quality for this book is its sharp focus on people and geography. This book should serve as a spark to hook students and must be supported with other books. It is good for an elementary classroom but can also be implemented in a 6th or 7th grade class. ( )
